The trading platform has credited 100 TWT tokens to customers who have made at least one transaction in the last week
Binance hosted the largest distribution of TWT tokens issued by the Trust Wallet mobile wallet. In total, the trading platform distributed millions of dollars worth of coins to users for free, as reported in a press release. The exact number of coins has not been disclosed.
TWT tokens were received by users who made at least one trade on the spot or futures platform from December 14 to December 21, 2020. Clients got 100 coins. At the current exchange rate of $ 0.14, their cost is $ 14.
Users will not be able to sell the received tokens on the Binance exchange itself. They will need to be withdrawn before January 5 of next year. If this is not done before the appointed time, the cryptocurrency will be removed from the traders' wallets.
Rumors of a possible coin distribution appeared yesterday, December 21st. Some users posted screenshots that 100 TWT were credited to their wallets. Immediately after that, the cryptocurrency rate began to grow rapidly. Over the past 24 hours, it rose from $ 0.093 to $ 0.18, but immediately after the news was published on the official Binance website , it fell below $ 0.14.
Trust Wallet is owned by Binance. The site acquired the project in 2018. At the moment, the mobile application has been downloaded more than 5 million times.
On December 12, holders of XRP tokens could participate in the airdrop (free distribution of cryptocurrency). On that day, many trading floors took a snapshot of the balances of investors holding the coin in exchange wallets. Now users will be able to receive new SPARK tokens (FLR), distribution will take place after the launch of the project.
