On November 10, the Chatex Telegram bot for exchanging cryptocurrencies suspended the deposit and withdrawal of user funds. The message posted on the website of the crypto exchange says that due to the investigation that was initiated against one of the early investors in the service in the United States, the company is suspending its operations. According to the site, users' funds "are under a ban on movement," however, representatives of the service assured that the assets were safe.
“We are working to ensure that users get access to their funds as soon as possible,” – said in a message from Chatex to users.
The service also canceled the previously planned CHTX token sale.

On November 8, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against the crypto exchange Chatex and blacklisted 30 site addresses. According to the analytical company Chainalysis , Chatex processed bitcoin transactions related to the darknet marketplace Hydra, the financial pyramid Finico and various ransomware programs.
